Black & White Beauty

I've taken a few days off while traveling and celebrating the birth of my darling new granddaughter, and realizing on a personal level that beauty comes in many forms.  My photography will undoubtedly take on a new focus when I am able to take pictures of Samara (my granddaughter's name)...she lives in Israel, so my access to her will be limited, unfortunately.  In the meantime, I will continue to focus on nature.  And flowers are an important aspect of that.  I love color, and I usually think of bright and bold colors when it comes to flowers, but if you see them in monochrome, you realize that through their shadows and contrast that flowers in black and white have their own brand of beauty.
